Beginners Course

Dublin Archers beginner courses are a 6 week long introduction and preliminary training in the sport of Archery. We have seven qualified coaches, two of which look after each beginner course. The coaches will teach topics such as safety, basic technique and some equipment maintenance.

At the beginning of every course each beginner is given a beginners pack. This pack contains a finger tab, arm guard, quiver and four arrows. Each beginner can take the pack away with them at the end of the course whether they choose to continue shooting or not. This results in each beginner having new equipment at the start of their course. All other equipment will be supplied by the club

The cost of a beginner course is €100. This covers insurance, hall rental and the cost of the beginners pack.

All courses are run in Pobailscoil Neasain in Baldoyle. They run on Wednesday nights during the indoor season and outdoor season. The times vary depending on the season.

Due to equipment restraints we can only cater for beginners of 12 years old and up. We also ask parents to accompany any child under the age of 16.
